Vocaloid Cosplay PV: Melt

I can't believe how cute this video is! Please check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Here are some notes from Peggy, the animator and the cosplayer of Miku:

Avatar: The Last Airbender: Azula

The 14-year-old, manipulative princess of the Fire Nation, Azula is a Firebending prodigy and one of the few living Firebenders capable of casting lightning. She is Zuko’s younger sister and is loyal only to her father, Fire Lord Ozai. She uses fear to control her relatives and friends but even though everyone admired her when she was young, her mother favored her older brother over her.

A beautiful display of Firebending without actual fire by *risachantag! According to her description, she used “Flowlights”, a bright LED glow poi for her fire. She won best solo skit during Manifest 2010. Thanks to Rivalry for suggesting this!

Post KodachiKun + Vlog

It's been two weeks since I got back home from KodachiKun and I could say that I was a bit disappointed by the convention. But on the other hand I was at the Con this spring and that was much bigger, grander and organised. I didn't got to see the cosplay show, since me and my friends were out for dinner at that moment, and I think that is mostly why I didn't really feel like I fitted in. It could also be that I'm getting older and don't fit the screaming, jumping fourteen years old girl standard anymore, I just have bigger demands now. But here comes my first Vlog, about yeah KodachiKun.

It's scary to hear yourself talking on a video. I sound so... girly. Let me know if you want to see more vlogs, I'll probably will do them anyway.

Vocaloid 2: Hatsune Miku 10

In honor of the first character to reach 10 cosplay features in Cosplay Holic, here is a video of Cosplayer Yumiko dancing to Hatsune Miku’s song “Strobo Nights”.

And of course, Cosplay Holic is in its Hatsune Miku Edition now (meaning: new banner, if you haven’t noticed it yet). Thanks for all the support! And thank you to all the awesome cosplayers and readers that make this site possible!

KodachiCon 10

So this weekend I went to KodachiCon in lovely Lund. Old towns are always nice, to bad I didn't get to see much of it as I had to much fun at the convention. That is also the reason I forgot to update the blog and twitter since I forgot it.

But what happened then. Me and CarpeDentum got ourself in the hands of some of my friends and we arrived just in time for the introduction to end. We checked what was going on and checked the times that we had to hold.

At some time it was piñata-time. This years piñata was Miku Hatsune. It was really fun to watch and I'm glad I was not one of them who jumped at the floor when she broke. She was full of candy and chocolate was I told. I took the time to play some video games in the other corner.

Of cause there was merchandise. Here is our own maid, Luchida from Mermaid Melody? and Lavi from D.Gray-Man. :D

DcastEye in your very own person. I got to cosplay Ame-Warashi and the wig did not get destroyed when I was styling it. Unfortunately this is the best photo I have at my cosplay so far, but I still like the fact that I almost didn't smile in this photo. It's damn hard for me not to smile a whole convention. Photo by CarpeDentum using my camera.

This was our sleepingspace. I was so tired when I went to sleep that I didn't even feel the hard floor, and got up early cause it was so warm and light in the room at the morning. Even thou that I slept really good.

Whenever we had the time over we played Benrangel, Fotleken or the Foot Game in English. More of it is in the video. :D

This is some of the film I shoot at the convention. I've got much more, but this is some of the best things.

This is the skit that me and my friends took part of. It was decided the night before the con that I was going be in it and I'm happy that I could be in it. It was so much fun, and I admit that I can be an attention whore.

I am already planing the cosplay for next KodachiKun this fall and hope that I will be able to be there. :D

Delays

So I got the flu and then my iron broke down a few days ago. But I seem to be improving my health, and I hope to be able to sew some things this weekend. Including my high waisted skirt for the upcoming tutorial. But here is something to watch until then:

Kipi Greets Her Chinese Fans

My Chinese is pretty rusty, but this is a video of Kipi sending her New Year's Greetings to her Chinese fans.

I was pleasantly surprised that her voice isn't high pitched and squeeky cute. >.<;;; And it's nice of her to make this video for her fans... Not a lot of cosplayers do that. :)

Granado Espada Official MTV: Fu Huo

A beautiful MTV about 2 friends who then became rivals. And the cosplay is very impressive! This video features a female elementalist, a musketeer, and a fighter.

Honestly though, I don’t think musketeers are capable of close combat. But that’s as far as I can go with my complaints. ^^

Cosplay Video: Perhaps Love

Happy Valentines Day, everyone! :o

I originally intended to just make this video for no real purpose… But I guess I’ll enter this on Sanriotown’s Valentine Video Contest. Hopefully, I can grab myself a limited edition Hello Kitty USB. :D

List of cosplays:

  1. Gundam Seed: Athrun Zala and Cagalli Yula Athha

  2. Inuyasha: Kikyo and Inuyasha

  3. Gyakuten Saiban: Karuma Mei and Mitsurugi Reiji

  4. Final Fantasy X: Yuna and Tidus

  5. Rurouni Kenshin: Battousai and Yukishiro Tomoe

  6. Gundam Seed: Yamato Kira and Lacus Clyne

Song is entitled Perhaps Love by Jose Mari Chan. :) You can post this video in your blog by grabbing the embed code here.

Kelly Osbourne: Turning Japanese

An interesting video clip of Kelly Osbourne cosplaying Lacus Clyne from Gundam Seed… Her hair clip is on the wrong side but you pretty much know she’s doing Lacus anyway.

She doesn’t really do a good Lacus Clyne, but I’ll give her a ton of credit for doing something she has no idea what it’s about…

Enjoy the clip! Don’t mind the first 2 slides… I was just testing the video uploader thing in Sanriotown.

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Music Video

Ivy’s Sonata of Temptation shows an excellent reenactment of a scene from Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children. But from what I hear, Square is suing them for not asking permission to use Final Fantasy Advent Children references.

Well… regardless of the politics, it’s an awesome cosplay! I don’t really care much for the music though… I just like the cosplay…

Death Note: The Parody

I’ve never posted a picture of a cosplay that looks nothing like the original anime or manga character. I only post pictures that I really like… But the cosplays that I like doesn’t necessarily have to look like the original anime.

Was that confusing? Well, let me show you a video I found on Sanriotown’s Dream Studio to give you a sample. Just let it load for a while first before playing it…

Thanks to Drift X for uploading the video. Please leave your comments for the video here.

Prisoners Dancing to Haruhi-ism

Remember that time I posted a World-Wide version of the Haruhi Dance? Well, now the Philippines is in the spotlight. The very same prison that brought you Michael Jackson’s Thriller and the Algorithm March give you… Haruhi-ism!

This is apparently just practice… Should be interesting to see if they perform this seriously.

This is making me think I’m missing something for giving up on the anime… I need to try and find time to watch it again.
