Koyo et moi avons eu la chance de nous rendre en juin dernier à une exposition des œuvres de John Howe, illustrateur éponyme du Seigneur des Anneaux de Tolkien. Et pas besoin de migrer vers la capitale. Cette exposition s'est tenue pendant près d'un mois à 5 minutes de chez nous à La Baule à la Chapelle Sainte-Anne (si si c'est possible).Nous connaissions déjà bon nombre des oeuvres présentées mais c'est avec un plaisir partagé que nous avons scruté les coups de pinceaux du maître.
Seul petit regret, aucune information quant aux techniques utilisées par Howe et pas de carton explicatif décrivant les tableaux.

Koyo and I were lucky to attend a great exhibition last June ! We went to see John Howe's work (the famous Tolkien's Lord of the Rings illustrator). And hopefully, we did not need to go to Paris. Indeed, the exhibition took place in our hometown La Baule at the small Sainte-Anne Chapel (I'm not kidding !).
We already knew the major part of the exhibited works but we took time to examine every details of Howe' style.
We had just one regret : not having any information about Howe's techniques or the paintings.

Minamino Shuichi, more commonly known as Kurama, is the human side of the Thief King, Youko. He is analytical, cunning, and very protective over the people he cares about.
